This course is designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to lead a school. You’ll gain a solid understanding of your role as an educational leader, including how to create an effective learning environment and how to support your teachers in doing so. In addition, you’ll learn about the responsibilities associated with being a school administrator and how to manage them effectively. You’ll also be able to apply what you’ve learned through hands-on activities that allow you to practice your skills in real-world situations.
This is an upper level course that prepares students to work in the field of Educational Administration Students will study and practice and specific leadership skills that create effective schools. Specifically, a focus will be given to address the foundations, issues, principles and responsibilities of executive leaders in educational administration. This is a 6 credit hour course and is allotted 6 weeks of time.
