This course is designed to be a comprehensive overview of the process of writing a dissertation. Topics covered include:
– Choosing a topic that is suitable for dissertation research
– Gathering and organizing data and information
– Developing a well-formulated argument, which includes conducting interviews, surveys, focus groups, or other types of data collection methods
– Developing a thesis statement and subheadings for each chapter in your dissertation
– Identifying sources for citations in your body paragraphs or chapters
Graduate Project Dissertation EDUD 1000, an 8 semester-hour course and is allotted 12 weeks. This thesis is an independent course project which will allow you to demonstrate expertise in the selected area[s] of research. The course is designed to increase your knowledge base in the Education field, as well as to refine writing, organization and presentation skills. Self-direction and initiative must be displayed in completing the thesis assignment. It is the final course in the Doctorate in Education degree program.
