This course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the various equalities in Islam. We will explore the various Islamic perspectives on gender, race, and other disparities within society. In addition, we will examine the different ways in which these equalities can be applied to create a more equitable society. Through discussions and readings, we will discover how Islamic teachings can help us understand more about inequality issues and how they can be addressed in our own lives.
One basic element in the value system of Islam is the principle of equality or equity. This value of equality is not to be mistaken for or confused with identicalness or stereotype.
